Overview
Samburu is situated in the dry north-central Rift Valley of Kenya. Samburu is a rugged and beautiful area famous for its unique landscapes, animals, and culture. At the center of Samburu is the Samburu National Reserve (165 km²), a famous protected area that provides a genuine safari experience far from the madding crowds of the southern reserves. Through this reserve flows the Ewaso Ngiro's River, which supports life in this otherwise arid landscape of volcanic hills and open savannah.
