Itinerary

Arrive in Leh via Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, celebrated as one of the world’s most spectacular mountain flight routes. On clear days, enjoy breathtaking aerial views of legendary Himalayan giants K2, Nanga Parbat, the Gasherbrum Range, and the dramatic Nun Kun Massif, rising impressively close.

On arrival, you will be warmly received by our representative and escorted to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of the day is kept free for rest and gentle acclimatization to the high-altitude setting. Unwind with a welcome tea or coffee and soak in the tranquil beauty of Leh at your own pace. After breakfast, set out on a captivating excursion through the Indus and Sham Valley region, following the ancient course of the Indus River along the scenic Leh–Kargil Highway.

Begin with a visit to the Hall of Fame Museum (closed on Mondays), maintained by the Indian Army, offering a moving insight into Ladakh’s military history and the bravery of Indian soldiers.

Continue to Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, situated at an altitude of 3,600 meters. Surrounded by dramatic Himalayan landscapes, this sacred site commemorates Guru Nanak Dev Ji and holds deep spiritual significance.

A short drive leads to the mysterious Magnetic Hill, a natural phenomenon that appears to defy gravity, followed by a visit to the breathtaking Confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers near Nimmu Village. Witness the striking contrast where the Indus flows in from Tibet and the Zanskar descends from the Zanskar Valley famed for the legendary Chadar Trek in winter.

Later, explore the celebrated Indus Valley Monasteries, starting with the majestic Thiksey Monastery, dramatically perched on a hilltop, and then Shey Palace, the former capital of Ladakh. En route, enjoy a photo stop at the iconic “3 Idiots” Rancho School and visit Sindhu Ghat.

Return to Leh by evening and discover local highlights including Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, and the lively Leh Market. Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.

After breakfast, embark on an exhilarating drive to Khardung La Pass, renowned as one of the world’s highest motorable roads. Rising to an impressive altitude of 18,390 feet, the journey itself is an adventure, winding through dramatic mountain landscapes just 39 km from Leh.

At the summit, take time to absorb the awe-inspiring panoramic views southward across the Indus Valley toward the rugged Zanskar Range, and northward to the majestic peaks of the Saser Massif. The vastness and raw beauty of the surroundings create a truly unforgettable high-altitude experience.

After an early breakfast, set off on a spectacular journey to the iconic Pangong Lake, traveling via the dramatic Chang La Pass (5,486 meters) one of the highest motorable mountain passes in the world. The scenic ascent winds through Sakti Village, offering breathtaking views at every turn.

Pause briefly at Chang La Pass for photographs before descending toward Tangtse Village, where you can relax with a warm cup of tea. Continue across the vast Changthang Plateau, passing remote settlements before the stunning expanse of Pangong Lake suddenly comes into view at an altitude of 14,000 feet.

Famed for its ever-changing shades of blue, Pangong is a striking high-altitude brackish lake, stretching over 133 km, with nearly half lying beyond the Indo–China border. Surrounded by stark mountains and pristine landscapes, the lake offers a serene and unforgettable experience made even more iconic by its appearance in the film “3 Idiots.”

After spending quality time by the lakeshore, begin the return drive to Leh in the late afternoon. In the evening, enjoy leisure time exploring the local markets for souvenirs. Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport for your onward journey.
