Itinerary

Today we begin our scenic journey towards Leh, driving through some of the most breathtaking landscapes of the Himalayas. We bypass the historic Rohtang Pass (3,978 m) and instead travel through the Atal Tunnel, a 9 km-long engineering marvel and the world’s longest highway tunnel, connecting the Manali–Solang Valley with Lahaul–Spiti and opening a vital all-weather route to Ladakh.

En route, we pass through Keylong (3,350 m) and ascend the spectacular Baralacha La Pass (4,890 m), surrounded by dramatic mountain views. This route remains open to travelers from June to October, depending on weather conditions.

By evening, we arrive at Sarchu (4,253 m), located on the border of Himachal Pradesh (Lahaul region) and Ladakh. Upon arrival, check in to our tented campsite and enjoy a peaceful overnight stay amidst the high-altitude wilderness.

After an early breakfast, we check out and continue our journey northwards on the iconic Manali–Leh Highway. Today’s drive offers some of the most breathtaking and dramatic landscapes of the Western Himalayas, with vast open plains, rugged mountains, and high-altitude desert scenery.

As we ascend further, the terrain becomes increasingly stark and barren while crossing high mountain passes. We pass through Nakee La and Lachung La (16,617 ft), enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. Lunch will be served at Pang, a small high-altitude settlement.

Post lunch, the journey continues across Sarchu Plains and the spectacular Skyangchu Thang, the world’s highest and largest plateau stretch (approximately 42 km). We then cross the mighty Tanglang La Pass (17,585 ft), one of the highest motorable mountain passes in the world, before descending into the fertile Indus Valley.

By evening, we arrive in Leh, where you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel for check-in and a comfortable overnight stay.

After breakfast, proceed on a scenic drive through the Sham Valley, following the Indus River along the Leh–Kargil Highway.

Begin with a visit to the Hall of Fame Museum (closed on Mondays), maintained by the Indian Army, offering insight into Ladakh’s military history. Continue to Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, a revered spiritual site set amidst the Himalayan landscape.

Visit the intriguing Magnetic Hill, followed by the striking Confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers near Nimmu Village.

Later, return to Leh. In the evening, visit Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, and explore the vibrant Leh Market. Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.

After breakfast, depart on a scenic drive to Nubra Valley, crossing the legendary Khardung La Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world. From the summit, enjoy panoramic views of the Indus Valley, the rugged Zanskar Range, and the towering Saser Massif.

Descend into Nubra Valley (Ldumra), known as the Valley of Flowers, where lush fields contrast with dramatic high-altitude desert landscapes. Upon arrival, check in at your camp or hotel.

In the evening, visit Hunder, famous for its white sand dunes and optional Bactrian camel ride against a stunning mountain backdrop. Continue to Diskit, explore the local bazaar, and visit the historic Diskit Monastery, offering sweeping views of the valley. Dinner and overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

After an early breakfast, proceed on an excursion to Turtuk, the last Indian village on the Indo–Pakistan border, known for its scenic beauty, Balti culture, and apricot orchards.

The drive along the Shyok River offers striking views of rugged mountains and remote landscapes. Upon arrival, explore the village, interact with locals, and experience the unique culture of this border settlement. Later, return to Nubra Valley. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp or hotel.

After breakfast at your camp or hotel in Hunder, set out on an extraordinary full-day excursion towards the legendary Siachen Base Camp, journeying through the stark yet captivating landscapes of Nubra Valley.

The drive takes you past Sumur Village and onwards to Panamik, known for its natural hot springs set amid dramatic high-altitude scenery. Continue through Sasoma Village, as the terrain gradually becomes more rugged and remote, offering a true sense of adventure in one of Ladakh’s most isolated regions.

By early afternoon, arrive near the Siachen Glacier region, an area renowned for its extreme conditions and strategic importance. Take time to absorb the unique high-altitude environment and the sheer scale of this remote Himalayan frontier, surrounded by snowbound peaks and vast silence.

In the late afternoon, begin the return journey to Hunder, retracing the scenic route through Nubra Valley. Arrive by evening for dinner and a well-earned rest. Overnight stay at your camp or hotel in Hunder.

After breakfast, depart for Pangong Tso via the adventurous Agham–Shyok Valley route, renowned for its raw landscapes and untouched beauty.

Travel through Durbuk and Tangtse before the breathtaking blue expanse of Pangong Lake unfolds at an altitude of 14,000 ft. Famous for its changing shades of blue and featured in “3 Idiots”, the lake offers a serene and unforgettable experience.

Upon arrival, check in at your camp near the lake and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp near Pangong Lake.

After breakfast, depart from Pangong Lake for Hanle, one of Ladakh’s most remote and scenic regions. En route, pass through Chushul Village and visit the Rezang La War Memorial, honoring the brave soldiers of the 1962 Indo–China War.

Continue the journey across Tsaga La Pass (15,200 ft) before arriving in Hanle, home to the renowned Indian Astronomical Observatory, set amidst vast open landscapes and clear night skies. Upon arrival, check in at your guesthouse, homestay, or hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Hanle.

After breakfast at your guesthouse or camp in Hanle, begin your journey towards the serene and remote Tso Moriri Lake, travelling through some of the most untouched landscapes of Ladakh.

The drive takes you across vast stretches of the Changthang Plateau, characterized by wide-open plains, rolling hills, and dramatic high-altitude scenery. En route, cross Tsaga La Pass, offering sweeping views of the surrounding valleys and distant mountain ranges. Continue the scenic drive through isolated hamlets and nomadic grazing grounds, where herds of yaks, sheep, and wild kiang can often be spotted.

Further ahead, cross the Mahe Bridge, marking the entry into the Tso Moriri region. As you approach Korzok Village, the breathtaking sight of the deep blue waters of Tso Moriri unfolds, set against a backdrop of snow-dusted mountains.

Upon arrival, check in at your camp or hotel near the lake. The evening is at leisure to enjoy a peaceful walk along the lakeshore, witness the changing colors of the lake at sunset, or simply relax and soak in the tranquil atmosphere of this high-altitude paradise. Dinner and overnight stay at Tso Moriri (Korzok).

After breakfast, check out and begin your drive back to Leh, passing through the high-altitude region of Tsokar, home to the nomadic Changpa community.

Continue across vast open plains and cross Tanglang La Pass, enjoying sweeping mountain views along the way. En route, visit Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace, and pass the famous “3 Idiots” Rancho School. Arrive in Leh by evening, check in at your hotel, and relax. Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.

After breakfast, depart from Leh for the remote Aryan Valley, located in the northwestern region of Ladakh. The scenic drive passes through dramatic mountain terrain, barren plateaus, and river valleys, offering striking Himalayan views throughout.

Upon arrival, check in at your guesthouse, camp, or homestay. Later, explore the villages of Dha and Hanu, home to the Brokpa (Drokpa) community, known for their distinctive culture and traditions. Interact with locals and gain insight into their traditional way of life.

Continue towards Batalik, a region of cultural and historical significance, before returning to your accommodation. Overnight stay in the Aryan Valley (Dha–Hanu area).

After breakfast, drive onward to Kargil, passing through scenic valleys and high-altitude landscapes. Enjoy the changing terrain as you transition from the remote Aryan Valley into the Kargil region.

Arrive in Kargil and check in at your hotel. The evening is free to explore the local market or enjoy a leisurely walk around town. Overnight stay in Kargil.

After an early breakfast (around 6:00 AM), depart for Srinagar via a picturesque drive through the Drass Valley, the second coldest inhabited place on Earth.

En route, enjoy breathtaking views of the historic Tiger Hill and Tololing Peak, famous for their strategic importance during the Kargil War (1999). Stop at the Kargil War Memorial (Vijay Smarak) in Drass to pay tribute to the brave Indian soldiers who laid down their lives for the nation.

Continue your journey through lush valleys and scenic landscapes, arriving in Srinagar by afternoon. Upon arrival, you will be dropped at your hotel / houseboat / airport, marking the end of the tour.

  • If booking is 30 days in advance from the travel date: Advance of 15% of the package cost required
  • If booking is between 30 days to 15 days in advance from the travel date: Advance of 30% of the package cost is required
  • If travel is within 15 days of the travel date: We will require 100% payment.

Cancellation Policy

  • If booking is 15 days before the travel date: 100% refund for Domestic Packages.
